Welcome Beautiful women to our caravan of Umrah 2022

This online portal holds all of the logistical or organisational content you will need to know for our Umrah during Ramadan 20th - 30th. It is during this pilgrimage that we will immerse ourselves in the vibrational teachings of Islam and the footsteps of Prophet Mohammed (saw). For a full 10 days this energy will be soaking through us like honey - and weaving the sovereignty and sisterhood of this beautiful belief into our cells, our skin, through our eyes, and breath. This final moment of deep teaching will allow your body to be rewoven; it will ground many stories and footsteps of the Prophet’s (saw) teaching into the practical elements of your belief so you may receive this transmission of peace and love more fully into your Being. ✨

Myself and Ranyah will be arriving in Saudi Arabia prior to the final ashr of Ramadan. We will arrive in Taif 2 days prior to the commencement of the pilgrimage. Should you encounter any difficulties or issues during your travels, please contact us via WhatsAp.

Everyone’s number is accessible through the WhatsAp group. There is a Google Doc provided by the retreat centre which has all of the dietary requirements, etc. to fill out, including your arrival details and departures.
You can fill it in here.

We will begin our journey in Taif, famous for it’s roses, it offers a unique and quiet in-road to Mecca from a different angle and landscape to the mostly travelled route, from Jeddah. From Taif we will travel to Mecca - where we will stay for 4 days, making Umrah, observing dzikr, and taking trips to learn more about our blessed Nabi’Ullah (saw), The Holy Prophet of our blessed Islam during this incredibly blessed days of Ramadan. After our journey in Mecca, where we will go to the Cave of Hira, and Twarb, visit the Maqam of women in Islam, and experience the Mercy of these final days of Ramadan inshAllah we will travel via the new train between Mecca and Medina, where we will visit our beloved Prophet (saw) in his Paradise Gardens, the Ummah, and pay our respects and make pilgrimages to the blessed sites of the founding of our religion; Islam.
This trip has a very specific focus on teachings of the Heart, and the walking in the footsteps of our beloved Prophet (saw), obeying his Sunnah, and truly experiencing the love and incredibly high station Islam has offered women in this tradition.

This Umrah is specifically curated for women who wish to grow in their connection to the blessed women of the Sahaba, and to our Beloved Prophet (saw). During this Umrah we will make at least 4 Umrah, following the best of the advice of the Prophet (saw) and our Sheikhs’s and the scholars of Islam.

arriving

Booking Flights: If you are flying from Bali, Australia, etc. or the United States, usually the best option is to fly to Paris, then Morocco - this is usually the most affordable, with the best connections, and the best airlines. Please try to anticipate booking your ticket within the next months to avoid stress. If you have any issues whatsoever regarding your travel please contact me, as I have over 20 years of experience with long-haul international travel. Once you have booked your flights, please add the information in the Arrivals section of this sheet.

Luggage: Please have an additional 10kg of check-in baggage allowance for your return flight, as we have gift-bags and practitioner items for everyone which include liquid products you will need to either decant, mail or check-in as they will be over 100ml (carry-on liquids allowance). These gifts include crystals, candles, and other items which take up quite a bit of weight. I will specify the exact weight closer to the date - however if you are flying without check in luggage, you may wish to let me know in advance so I can help you to pre-arrange shipping of your items from Morocco, or book 10kg of check in luggage for your return.

Pick Up in Morocco: Every woman will be given a pick-up service to Peacock Pavilions on the 25th of November. In order to ensure we have your details, whether you are being picked up from inside town, or from the airport, please fill out your arrive details here. Elly and I will not be picking you up - a driver will be. We will be on the grounds of the retreat centre to greet you when you arrive.

Before the Retreat: Barbara has invited all of the women travelling to join her on a 3 day (2 nights) camel trekking trip into the Western Sahara. The trip begins on the 22nd of November with an 8:00am pick up in Marrakech. You will drive through a pass in the Atlas mountains, to Dades Gorge, and the Valley of Roses. The first night you will stay in Kasbah Hotel, and the next day have lunch in a Berber village, followed by a camel ride out to the Erg Chebbi Dunes. That evening you will stay at a luxury camp in the desert - with a private bath, a bonfire, and more time with the Berber people. The final day you will watch the sunrise on the dunes, camel ride out of the desert, and drive back to Marrakech arriving at 7pm to your hotel. The Golden Lotus retreat begins on the 25th November, the following day. The cost is 150 euros; all inclusive. To read more about the offer, click here - remember that there are only 6 spots!

About your stay

Rooms: I have tried to make this retreat as affordable and luxury as possible, which means during this retreat everyone will be sharing a room. Each room has 2 twin beds, and it’s own private bathroom, so you will not be sharing a bed, or a collective bathroom. It will just be you, and one other sister, for this journey. Usually, for retreats, we offer the choice between sharing, or single rooms - preferring women to stay alone as it helps integration - however as this retreat, ceremony, and gathering is focused on affordability and also a preparation for your business, you will be expected to know how to self-manage - and respect each other’s personal process and space. The grounds of Peacock Pavilions are very extensive; with olive groves, gardens, multiple pavilions, buildings, and a pool - so you will have more than enough space on a day to day level to integrate, to take space, and to ensure you feel held in both bonding and private process.

Dietary Requirements: Peacock Pavilions provides absolutely exquisite food - and I don’t put an insistence on vegan or vegetarian cuisine when we visit. It is up to you to fill out your dietary requirements in advance via this form.

After the retreat

Departures: We will check out at 11am on the 30th of November - and there will be a drop off available for everyone to their following destination, whether that is the airport, a local riad/hotel, or the hammam activity available for all, for which you will need to cover your own costs, outlined below. As a note on coming down from this retreat; you may wish to book yourself an evening, or two, in Marrakech to help you integrate the event and give yourself some space before flying home. Alternately, if you would like to book a flight for that afternoon or evening, we can cater to your airport transfer/drop off from Peacock Pavilions.

Post Retreat Hammam and Accomodation: On the final day, before flying out, I invite you to join myself, Elly, and whomever else, for a hammam & afternoon tea at the Royal Mansour Le Jardin - and/or a sunset dinner at Nomad. The Royal Mansour is quintessence of Moroccan Luxury. We will arrive, the hotel will take our luggage, and we will indulge in the most exquisite spa and gardens in Marrakech (to my mind). This is a very beautiful experience which I suggest joining, to finalise your integration, or at very least for a walk around the gardens and grounds. The hammam treatment is 75 minutes and costs $160 usd/1600 MAD; you are responsible for your own payment - this is not included in the retreat. After this I suggest everyone checking in and dropping their bags at their riads, and having some time to prepare themselves and rest before meeting at Nomad - a beautiful restaurant in the middle of the Souk - where we will go for dinner around 6:30pm. You can see the location and menu here. If you are staying a few extra days in Marrakech, the riad I will stay at until the 3rd of December is called Riad Olema et Spa - should you like to book the same location.
